e origin of La Chinata dates back to 1932 when its founders decided to cultivate olive trees and produce virgin olive oil in Plasencia (Cáceres). Currently, the main activity developed by this rm is the packaging of oils and tinned gourmet food (pâté, condiments, dressings, salts...) that is later sold through a network of oil shops and franchises.
La Chinata’s extra virgin olive oil is an olive juice made with olives from Sierra de Gata. e oil obtained from the fruits of this area is typically yellow with greenish highlights, a dense aroma of ripe fruit and intense avour, sweet and at, very pleasant on the palate, which makes its tasting a delight.
Its oils are made with the best “manzanilla cacereña” olives, picked by hand from the olive groves and cold-pressed during the 24 hours subsequent to their harvest. Its high nutritional value and therapeutic properties make it a perfect complement to accompany a toast, a salad, vegetables or a carpaccio.
La Chinata is aware of the general concern over organic and healthy food, that’s why the company made a range of upmarket products called Gourmet Selection with a common feature: they are made with
the best virgin olive oils.
e vinegars and balsamic creams are perfect to accompany sophisticated dishes, while the tinned food is made with ingredients from the land or sea following the traditional recipes, so they come out as a pleasant surprise both as starters or as garnish.
