Regarding gastronomy, the Mediterranean diet is based on the consumption of agricultural products, olive oil, and  sh and seafood from the Mediterranean coast. As a result of this diet, the most international dish is born: the famous Valencian paella. Its main ingredient is rice, but it is complemented with chicken, rabbit, snails, fresh vegetables, and legumes.  ere is also a rich baking tradition in this region. Among the pies and sponge cakes, the fartons stand out.  ey are usually accompanied by a glass of horchata, a typical drink that is made with tiger nuts, water and sugar. Talking about drinks, another remarkable product from Valencia is the mistela, a sweet wine with high alcohol content. Also we must mention a cocktail called “Agua de Valencia” originally from the city, which is made with cava, Triple Sec Liqueur, and the juice made with local oranges, highly valued for their quality.
In the end, the city of Valencia o ers loads of options for visitors to enjoy, regardless of their preferences and likings.
