A relaxing stroll through its pedestrian streets, markets, squares, and terraces is one of the best ways to discover Valencia while having a good time. Along the way, we can see the beautiful façades of buildings such as the National Museum of Ceramics or the Serrans and Quart
Towers, which constitute the main remains of the wall that surrounded the city. Outside of that wall, we nd the Turia Gardens, the largest green area of the city and a perfect setting to enjoy the fresh air while walking or riding a bicycle.
Valencia features the special charm typical of seaside
towns. e ne sand of its beaches and the clearness
of its waters, along with the presence of the nearby
coastal mountains give its coast a unique appeal.
Within the city, the beaches of La Malvarrosa and
Levante o er a wide variety of restaurants where
visitors can eat and enjoy a pleasant evening by
the sea. If we move southward from the capital, we
realise that nature is even more present at the Saler beaches and L’Albufera National Park, where you can enjoy the sun at an incomparable setting.
The Mediterranean climate allows for pleasant temperatures throughout the year, that is why Valencia o ers so much leisure options. e most popular area is the Barrio del Carmen, at the old centre, where we can nd bars and pubs with a lively atmosphere.
e festivity of Saint Joseph (on the 19th of March) is known worldwide for its Fallas, and has become an important tourist attraction. Its origin comes from the traditional burning of wooden waste at the carpentry workshops, but the Valencians’ creativity added some features of their culture and history to make a festivity in which the satirical nature of the fallas stands out.
