It is o en said that if a tunnel was drilled through the centre of the Earth, we could get to Australia. Although this is just a joke, it reveals how far we feel from this huge country. Apart from the geographical distance, Australia constitutes a true challenge, since there are many aspects to take into account when planning a trip to this continent. On the one hand, there are lots of airlines that connect Australia with other countries, so we have to pay attention to the ight connections available, and the expected waiting time. It could be a great opportunity to extend the stopovers at some points and make a (brief) visit to some of the intermediate destinations.
