e expression “getting in touch with nature” becomes
particularly meaningful in Australia, where visitors have
the opportunity to get a closer look at some animals
such as kangaroos, koalas and platypuses, witness the
spawning of the sea turtles or watch penguins walking
on sand. Many companies are specialised in organising
activities such as the Cage of death, a place that allows 1 Diving in areas such as
visitors to get really close to a sea crocodile, or feed the American crocodiles
The warm tropical waters in the North of the country and the cold waters in the South create the different marine ecosystems that come together in Australia.
e best way to discover these ecosystems is through whale-watching boats, or if you are brave enough, you can actually plunge into the water and dive among them. A good example of these ecosystems is Australia’s national treasure: the amazing Great Barrier Reef. It extends for more than 1242 miles along the Queensland coast and hosts marine species such as sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and of course the coral that created this huge reef.
